We’re Looking for the next generation of great Queensland social enterprises

This is your chance to make your social enterprise idea happen.
For your idea to EMERGE, so it can make a positive impact for our community.

At the end of the day, life is too short to give your energy and skills to a company or work-life that bores you at best and at worst violates all you stand for.

Instead, use your smarts, skills, and creativity to create a positive impact in the world you’ll be proud to tell your grandkids about.

Transform your idea into a launch-ready impact project or business!

Mobilise the wild and wonderful energy of early-stage ideation into an actual plan you can follow step-by-step to design your social enterprise and get launch-ready by joining emerge, a state-wide social enterprise design program.

emerge is a fully subsidised program supported by the Social Enterprise Sector Development Grants and run by the social enterprise experts at StartSomeGood.

That means it’s at no cost to you.

You just bring your creativity, courage and commitment.

We bring the community, the hard-won wisdom and the clear roadmap you can follow to create a launch-ready social enterprise.

This 10 week course is free to thanks to the funding support from the Queensland Government.  Don’t miss this opportunity to take your idea to the next level and make a difference!

Why Join?

  • To make impact you need to get your idea out of your head and into the world.
  • This is a chance to learn the core principles at the heart of all successful social enterprise and create a realistic plan you can move forward with.
  • You could go it alone, but why would you want to?
  • Trying to figure things out by yourself is slow, and you’ll make costly mistakes.
  • emerge will save you time, money and frustration as we help you organise your thoughts into a business model with thoughtful design for a product or service your customers will love, which generates profit and creates REAL change on the issue area you are seeking to impact.
  • Time-wise, you’ll want to give yourself at least 3-6 hours a week to watch the videos, complete worksheets and connect with your peer learning group.
  • Of course the more work you put in, the more you get out of it. You may find that when passion and purpose collide, time dissolves, you get in the flow and you end up investing two or three times the suggested time commitment. We’d call that a good hustle 😉

“One of the key learning from the program was simply getting clarity on what my idea was. I had so many different ideas I could implement but I needed the direction and guidance to know which one to start with and why.”

– Mel Kenny, Made of Substance

“The storytelling module helped me understand how to tell my story in a way that really highlights why I do what I do. It helped explain my work much more clearly and in a much more engaging way of connecting with people.”

– Julia Schneider, launched Alive With Possibility, a transformational coaching practice using nature.
